Thomas Broadley

Tom is the owner and founder of The Peri Group and started the business back in 2012. Tom is a percussionist specialising in Drum Kit and particularly enjoys playing funk, jazz and show music. Tom graduated his Music and Education degree in 2012 and having known he wanted to teach music from a young age embarked upon the creation of The Peri Group almost straight away. Tom currently teaches drum kit to over 150 pupils a week across 7 primary and secondary schools and his home studio.

Lee Conley

Lee is our senior guitar tutor and The Peri Group’s resident published author! Lee has worked as a professional guitarist and teacher for over 15 years, and has over 20 years playing experience in classical, electric, acoustic and bass guitar. Also working as a studio and live sound engineer, Lee is able to bring his substantial industry experience and expertise to share with his pupils. Notably Lee is author of the successful guitar book - The Guitar Teachers Grimoire. Lee’s book is currently selling worldwide and offers a glimpse into his extensive understanding of guitar theory and technique.

Martin Collins

Martin is a very experienced drum and percussion teacher who has been playing for 25 years and teaching full time for around 10 years. Martin was initially a self-taught drummer but went on to study under Mike Sturgis and Pete Riley. Martin is a keen performer and has played at Maida Vale studios for the BBC. Teaching really is what motivates Martin and he encourages patience, perseverance and practice with all of his students.

Becky Swaby

Becky began learning piano and violin from age 7, and music has always been her passion. During her youth, she was a member of several orchestras and choirs and helped to conduct a string ensemble for younger children. Becky is a very well established music teacher, who has built up a very strong pupil base with her pupils loving her lessons.

Emily Sharpe

Emily has helped her students through personal milestones, professional auditions and to win competitions, and has also been directing, choreographing and musical directing various productions. Her teaching also lead to her singing on BBC Radio Derby last year. She has experience teaching a variety of ages, from children to adults, and students with a variety of experience.
